Cleaning-up the HE2 Job Data Menu
If you make frequent use of the HE2 program, the Job
Menu in the Heat Loss Express module may become "over
populated" with old jobs. The menu can be "cleaned
up" without having to discard any job data.
The first step is to back-up up all of your
job data - read the Backing-up
HE2 Job Data tutorial for instructions on how to
do this. Once your job data is backed up (and the back-up
verified), delete old jobs from the Heat Loss Express Job
Menu as follows -
- Open the Heat Loss Express module from the
main HE2 menu
- Open an old job using the Job Menu in the tool bar
- Select Jobs in the menu bar, and
then Delete
- When prompted "Are you sure you want to delete
all references to (job name)" select Yes
- Repeat this process for all old jobs you wish to
remove from the Job Menu
If you need to access the data of a job you have deleted
from the Job Menu, use the import function to
bring the data back -
- Open the Heat Loss Express module from the
main HE2 menu
- Select Jobs in the menu bar, and
then Import Data
- On the import data screen, select your back-up folder
and the file that holds the job data you need, then
click Open
- Select the jobs you wish to import, and then click OK
The job should now be listed again on the Job Menu,
with full edit/print privilages. Note -
After exporting job data and deleting jobs from the Job
Menu, the HE2 program must be closed and then re-opened
before importing the job data.
