Installing the HE2 Literature and Technical Publications Files
If you initially installed HE2 with only the Heat Loss Express ("Hydronic
Explorer Program") module selected, you can still install the literature
and technical publications files on your hard drive so that you do not
need the HE2 CD to access them.
The first step is to back-up up all of your job data -
read the Backing-up
HE2 Job Data tutorial for instructions on how to do this. Once your
job data is backed up (and the back-up verified), install the literature
and technical publications files as follows -
- Close all programs, including HE2
- Insert the HE2 CD - the blue HE2 setup screen should appear. If
you downloaded HE2 from our website, run the he2setup file
again by opening the folder that you saved it in and double-clicking
it.
- After accepting the terms of use, do the following in the Options section
-
- Uncheck the "Hydronic Explorer
Program" box
- Check the boxes next to the files you wish to install,
and then click Install
The rest of the files will now install so that you do not need to insert
the HE2 CD to access them.
Important note - If you forgot to uncheck the "Hydronic
Explorer Program" box, all of your job data will be lost. However,
you will be able to import all job data that you had
previously backed-up. Always
back-up your job data first.
