The Lynx boiler is a hot water boiler heating system which incorporates a new generation of cast aluminum heat exchanger that is corrosion resistant. The patented heat exchanger maintains high water velocity which prevents plugging and virtually eliminates the risk of flashing into steam. The boiler utilizes a reliable spark ignition system. Its high thermal conductivity brings warmth quickly to the living space.
By incorporating a brazed plate heat exchanger into the boiler design, the boiler now transfers heat to Domestic hot water. The unit transfers heat to the hot water with nearly 100% efficiency. It requires no maintenance and will last for years. An extra circulator pump and flow switch are included with the combi boiler. The pump is sized to overcome the friction losses of the boiler and heat exchanger and therefore provides enough of the boiler water flow to transfer the maximum amount of heat energy from the boiler to the domestic hot water
The Lynx’s advanced operating controls automatically modulate gas input up or down according to demand. Ordinary boilers run inefficiently when they repeatedly cycle on and off, just as stop and go driving reduces a car’s gas mileage. The Lynx will closely match the boiler’s output to just what is needed to meet demand for heat, it has longer run times and wasteful cycling is reduced. Lynx’s controller also resets supply water temperature automatically when connected to an outdoor sensor, further enhancing efficiency of the entire heating system.
